The ingredients needed to cook Peanut Butter Fudge:
  1. You need 5 cup sugar
  2. You need 1 stick butter
  3. Get 1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
  4. Provide 2 cup peanut butter
  5. Provide 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions to make Peanut Butter Fudge:
  1. Combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk in a medium sauce pan and bring to a slight boil. Reduce heat to low. Maintain at soft ball stage (234-240°F) and cook for 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Don't exceed 240°F
  2. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and vanilla extract
  3. Blend until mixture is smooth and creamy. Don't over work or it gets grainy.
  4. Pour into a greased 1/4 sheet tray, and let cool.
  5. Note: For chocolate fudge , use 2 (6 oz.) packages chocolate bits ( semisweet). Melt chocolate in a double boiler and maintain until sugar mixture is ready. You can also ad 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts or peanuts to mix.
