Ingesting healthy foods makes all the difference in how we feel. Whenever we eat more healthy snacks and a smaller amount of the detrimental ones we typically feel much better. A salad allows us to feel a lot better than a piece of pizza (physically anyway). Selecting healthier food choices can be difficult when it is snack time. Finding snacks that really help us feel better and boost our energy levels often involves lots of shopping and painstaking reading of labels. Here are a handful of healthy snacks that can be used when you need an instant pick me up.
Certain foods made from whole grains are excellent for a easy snack. A mid-morning snack of whole grain bread along with some protein will sustain you until it’s time for the afternoon meal. When you have to have a fast snack on your way out the door, do not forget to look for whole grain chips, pretzels, and crackers. Whole grains are usually better than highly processed grains present in white bread.
There are lots of healthy snacks you can choose that do not involve a lot of preparation or searching. Being healthier doesnt need to be a battle-if you let it, it can be quite easy.
We hope you got benefit from reading it, now let’s go back to basic cole slaw recipe. You can cook basic cole slaw using 6 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to cook Basic Cole Slaw:
- Take Cole slaw "guts" (cabbage, carrots, onions, apple?)
- Provide mayonnaise
- Take olive oil
- Prepare vinegar (I used apple cider)
- You need honey (or maple syrup?)
- Take black pepper
Instructions to make Basic Cole Slaw:
- Chop the Cole Slaw "guts" if you dont buy prepared bagged slaw. Typical coleslaw is carrots and cabbage. The onions give it a great flavor. I've had it with apple, and its interesting as well.
- Combine the "sauce" ingredients in a blender. Blend to a smooth consistency.
- Pour the sauce into the Cole Slaw "guts" and combine completely. (If you want more sauce, just up the ingredients to your liking.) Refrigerate for a few hours before eating…you'll appreciate it better.
- I do NOT use milk in my recipe because I hate liquidy coleslaw. Hope you like it.
