We all understand that, in order to really be healthful, nutritious and balanced diets are important as are good amounts of exercise. Sadly, there isn’t always enough time or energy for us to really do the things we need to do. At the conclusion of the day, almost everyone want to go home, not to the gym. People crave junk food, not veggies (unless they are vegetarians). You should be pleased to learn that getting healthy doesn’t always have to be super hard work. If you keep at it, you’ll get all of the required foods and activites. Here are some very simple ways to get healthful.
Make smart decisions when grocery shopping. When you make good decisions at the grocery store, your meals will get much healthier automatically. Think about it: you aren’t going to want to cope with a chaotic store or a long drive through line at the end of the day. You want to go home and make a little something from your kitchen. Your kitchen should be stocked with healthy foods and ingredients. This makes it easy to have a great meal–even if you want something junky–because you’ll be eating something that is obviously better for you than anything you’d buy in a hurry at the store or in the fast food joint.
There are a lot of things that work toward your getting healthy. Not all of them demand fancy gym memberships or restrained diets. You can do small things every day to improve upon your health and lose weight. Make sensible choices every day is a great start. Getting as much exercise as you possibly can is another factor. Don’t ignore that health isn’t only about how much you weigh. You need to make your body as strong as possible.

The ingredients needed to prepare My Okinawan Grandma's Spam & Egg Onigiri (Rice Balls):
- Take 700 grams or 4 servings plain, cooked rice
- Use 1/2 can Spam
- Take 2 Eggs, beaten
- Take 2 sheets nori seaweed
- Get Mayonnaise, optional
Steps to make My Okinawan Grandma's Spam & Egg Onigiri (Rice Balls):
- First, prepare the fillings. Cut the Spam into 4 slices. In Okinawa, there are may different brands of canned "pork" that are available like Tulip.
- Fry the slices of Spam on both sides using a generous amount of oil.
- After cooking the spam, cook thin "omelettes" (or more like crepes) using the remaining oil in the pan. The salt from the Spam will season the egg so you won't need to add any salt.
- I am using the "Homel Spam Musubi Maker" for this recipe. Place the musubi maker on top of the seaweed and add a thin layer of rice.
- It's a little difficult to shape the rice without the musubi maker, but you can still make it in a rice ball style: simply spread out rice across the center of the nori sheet, leaving plenty of space on each side to fold over at the end.
- Next, place a layer of Spam and mayonnaise on top of the rice (without mayonnaise is ok too).
- Lay the cooked egg on top.
- Add another layer of rice on top of everything and press down.
- Remove the musubi maker mold, if using, then wrap the edges of the nori seaweed around the layers of rice and spam.
- Mixing in some fresh ground pepper in the rice gives it a nice extra taste!
